Background
My Name is Elijah Kennison, I'm a student at Vermont Technical College. I first started going to VTC when I was twenty; motivated to learn and do better for myself as well as the people around me, specifically my family. I'm making this site to keep the information I will use throughout this project organized and in one place as well as this site being a part of the grade in my sophomore project class.
Reasoning
I chose to do this advanced metal detector because in the first year 'Introduction to Projects' course each individual in class made simple metal detectors. Mine detected a large metal object up to, but not farther a foot away, and this was slightly disappointing to me. I decided after considering and exploring a few other 'less than legal' ideas that I would make a more advanced metal detector. As I began researching metal detector designs I found that there were several different methods for detecting metal. This 'two box' method seemed to get the farthest detection ranges.
